06/06/05 - Live 8
*laaaaaa* there won't be snow in Africa this Christmas time!
Yes my friends it's that time again, Bob Geldolf(certified do gooder, swearing tramp man) is holding a massive concert which is supposed to eradicate Poverty in the third world (yeah don't ask me how that works)
Its called 'Live 8' (like G8, clever eh?) and there is going to be 5 concerts in different cities around the world, one of them being in London town. And that right kiddies my point is that Stereophonics are playing (wakadooboo!) but there is a slight catch... you can only win tickets though a text lottery which costs £1.50 (I hope that money is going to the starving children), you can enter as many times as want though. Anyway to see how to enter and what the question ect is go here...

And on a more serious note, y'all should check out the 'Make Poverty History' site ( www.makepovertyhistory.org ) as this is what it's all about and as many people as possible need to support it. Thanks,
Loz x
15/02/05 - By The Way...
I MET STEREOPHONICS! *dances*
It was last month at the "secret" gig in Glasgow...which was ACE! Yar, I just kind of forgot to mention this but here is my little meeting phonics story...
We (me and my mate Sooz) got taken up to the stage with about 10-12 other people and the band played Dakota and Peadalpusher for us!!! It was so so so amazing!! Me and Sooz were singing along to the chorus of Dakota....and then went "PUSH" at the appropriate moment during Peadalpusher and laughed lots.
Then they came and signed stuff for us. We weren't meant to take photos till the end but I got some with rich before they gave me in trouble. Rich was so sweet! Sooz was like "we tried to meet you at Usher Hall" and he just said "aww well your meeting us now!"...I don't think he could even remember where Usher Hall was to be honest, he just kind of smiled. AND GET ME.....I managed to refrain myself from jumping on him! I was amazingly calm...which doesn't really make sense.
After that we went to speak to Javier and he was really cool too, we told him how impressed we were by his drumming/singing at the same time talent and he said he's really enjoying playing with the band and said something about playing on the album I think. He is pretty tiny...but he's still a bit taller than me. AND he has the bestest smile in the whole world!
THEN...the Kelly. that was the weirdest. we just kind of stood there in silence while he signed our stuff cus we didnt know what to say, and he said "ye alright?" and we just kind of squeaked and I told him that the new stuff was sounding great and he said thanks.
The we all got photos taken and that was it!
Wooo and the actual gig was just so amazing...all the new stuff is sounding fab live, and Javier is really fitting in with the band...they all seem so haapppy! I really hope this is a great year for them.
28/12/04 - Language. Sex. Violence. Other?
Ohmygodohmygodohmygod!!!! Guess who has heard the sparkly new album? None other than your scottish midget loon girl aka Lauren aka ME! How did this happen I hear you ask? For surely it is not possible? Surely somehow I have stolen that poor child peters' time machine from that classic film "Back to the Future" and travelled into the year 2005 and sneakily listened to the album in advance?
NO....it is not so. I was actually invited down to London town by my monkey friends at V2 (stereophonics record label) along with some other fab people and they sat us down at a big table (freakily shaped like an eye) and said "would you like to listen to the new album?" WOULD WE LIKE TO LISTEN TO THE NEW ALBUM????? what kind of retarded question is that you banana eating LOONS!??? *ahem* yes so we got to listen to it and it was absolutely without a doubt supper fab with shiny knobs on!!! It was a rocking and it had no acoustic guitars but lots of electric banjos and it was funky and fresh and we were all sitting there bobbing out little heads along to the music. We got to listen to 10 songs, including the first single which is called Dakota and THEN we got to listen to this amazing song called Pedalpusher, which the wee midget had only recorded 2 days before and we were like THE FIRST people to hear it EVER!!! And I personally thought it was the best song on the album and I am so glad its on the album that if I knew where the wee midget lived I would go and hug him lots and tell him how great he is....but then he would get scared so I will not do that. Other songs on the album included Superman, Feel, Brother, Lolita(that's kelly's baby), Doorman, Rewind, Devil, Girls and Deadhead....which is a re-recording of the fab b-side that is Royal Flush!
Then if that wasn't enough....we got to see some photos from a photo shoot that was taken by Scarlet Page and they were super funky and a small bit camp....but we like camp so its all good. Kelly's hair is all gone. Well mostly...he now looks like a very camp Elvis. Uhhh huuuh.
NEWS FLASH!!! the shiny new drummer called Javier (pronounced Haaaaavier) IS A SUPER MIDGET....as in smaller than Kelly. I know amazing....I actually didn't think it was physically possible...but there you have it. Give that midget a medal. He looks a very cheeky chappy and I think everyone should love him. Even thought we still love The Stuart, we must love them both and love Richard the most...and maybe kelly a little bit ..
Anyhoo I degrees slightly. Then we got to see the new art work, which is tres funky and all muliti coloured and very groovy looking. And then the kind monkey people gave us free stuff and it rocked cus I dont often get free stuff (except for my yeast at tesco) and we talked about WHAT THE FANS LIKE....and they said that they are going to be nicer to us in the future. They even said they might realise a B-SIDE ALBUM!! AND the boys want to do lots of smaller venues, alllll around the country. wowowwowowow! rocking my friends.
That is about it I think, The new album will be out in March sometime and Dakota is out in February.....
PHONICS ARE BACK!
